The Nelson Saucer Bubble Pendant’s wide surface area diffuses soft light into any interior. It comes with a steel ceiling plate, which allows it to delicately float overhead. George Nelson originally designed the Bubble Lamp series in 1952, inspired by a set of silk-covered Swedish hanging lamps.
 
It was in 1952 that George Nelson designed the range of Bubble suspensions spherical shapes become iconic today. They are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

George Nelson was inspired by Swedish suspensions elegantly covered with silk seen during one of his travels.
