The name “Basket” is a tribute to the classic hand weaving technique used in rattan basketry. Replacing the fiberglass inner shell that Colombo used, the base of each piece is now formed from a more environmentally friendly steel base. The Basket 3 seater sofa is strong and stable with a unique shape. It is upholstered in hand-woven rattan, created from interwoven strips and oval pegs, a technique that requires skill and craftsmanship.
