Dutch designer Lex Pott worked with a wide variety of metals for his series of vases, including copper, stainless steel, brass and aluminum. The vases are particularly unique because of the contrasts that are created: each of the vases has an oxidized, matte part and a polished, smooth, shiny part, which is remarkable. Thus, Lex Pott has succeeded in presenting the "true colors" of each metal in an extraordinary way. The contrast between the organic structure on the one hand and the noble surface on the other characterizes the True Colour vases.
