First shown in 1940 at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition, the Egyptian table ML10097 was created by designer Mogens Lassen. It bears the name of his inspiration, the designer was indeed influenced by the folding supports found in Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922.

The Egyptian table has a small sliding brass latch under its top so that it can be folded up in a jiffy and easily stored without taking up space. In addition to the careful design, Mogens Lassens has strived to bring through this table an intelligent and modern design that will remain so over the years.
