VALERIE Lounge Chair - Black

A furniture design by Marie Michielssen always starts with a series of sketches on paper. With mathematical precision, she builds up the volumes. The proportions must be perfect and adapted to suit the human body. For the Valerie lounge chair, she started from an elliptical base to which she added two rectangular surfaces, a seat and back at a perfect angle that makes it possible to sit comfortably. She chose lacquered steel so that Valerie can be used both outside and inside. She also likes steel because it is an honest, somewhat brutal material. What you see is what you get. The optional seat cushion adds extra comfort. The fabric is hand-woven and made in Belgium and was chosen by Marie for its tactile impact. Valerie is available in four colours: black, white, grey or deep green. The matching cushions are white or grey.
