Arguably Ib Kofod Larsen’s most iconic design, the U-56 chair was designed in 1956. The carefully crafted piece later became known as the Elizabeth Chair after Queen Elizabeth II purchased a pair during a visit to Copenhagen in 1962. Its gently curved armrests, sledge-like frame and reclining comfort make it an outstanding example of Danish Modern furniture design.
